This is a big weekend for my friends and I.  It’s the beginning of the college football season, one of our friends is hoping to make the final cut on the depth chart for an NFL team, and we have Labor Day to celebrate of course.  There’s one thing that all of this calls for:  Delicious food.  Whether you’re out by the Belara pool, grilling like you’ve never grilled before, or cooking in your kitchen, you can check out a few of the items that I’m bringing to my own gameday viewing party, and a friend’s Labor Day party.

Here’s what’s on the menu;

  • Italian Sausage Meatball Heroes:  My roommate is Italian, and he cooks like a pro.  He might make this look pretty, but anyone can make a mean meatball sandwich for gameday.
  • Memphis-Style Ribs:  I can’t pass up Memphis style anything.  My dad’s side of the family calls this Southern blues and barbecue capital home.  Needless to say, I’m very picky and over critical of my “Q.”  You’ll have to grill these early in the day, because you’ll need to steal a whole grill to cook them.
  • Caramel Apple Sticky Buns:  It wouldn’t be the beginning of Fall without a little bit of caramel and apple… Okay, a lot of caramel.  This recipe is deadly
